Bird College welcomes applications from all sections of the community regardless of ethnicity, religion or gender. The College is committed to meeting the requirements of learners with special educational needs.

Applicants to the Pre-Professional Year should:

• Be aged 16 or over
• Normally have some prior dance training
• Attend the College audition

The audition is a carefully conceived assessment and conducted by senior teachers to assess potential skills in dance, singing and drama, as well as suitability for a career in the theatre profession. Career aspirations, flexibility, and personal qualities such as motivation and communication skills are also taken in to account. Upon receipt of a completed application form and fee, candidates will be notified of an audition date after the advertised closing date.

Applicants that have auditioned for the BA (Hons) Degree or Diploma will not be required to have an additional audition for the Pre-Professional course and may be offered a place on this course based on their audition
