Bird College welcomes applications from all sections of the community regardless of ethnicity, religion or gender.
The College is committed to meeting the requirements of learners with special educational needs.
For those with a special need, we strongly advise that you alert our Registrar to this at the point of application.
This will allow us to arrange to meet this need at audition and adapt our programmes accordingly should you be successful in gaining a place. Applicants who reside outside the UK may also audition by Video Link. Please contact the college for further details.
Dance & Drama Awards (DaDA) are scholarships which are awarded to UK students accepted for the Diploma in Professional Musical Theatre course who the audition panel feel display the most potential to succeed in the profession. Awards offer greatly reduced tuition fees and access to an income-assessed student support fund. Further information is available at www.direct.gov.uk/danceanddrama
Before beginning the application you should make sure that you fulfill the entry requirements. You should complete all sections of the form and will be asked to include the following items:
1. A recent passport-style photograph of yourself
2. Character Reference from your dance teacher (PDF preferred)
3. Plus either Option 1 or Option 2
Option 1: demi-plié in first position front on, 1 first arabesque line in profile.
Option 2: full length in dance position of your choice.
Please ensure all photographs are jpeg format and that you include your name in the filename.

Important note for BA applicants
When applying to the Degree programme, applicants must also submit a separate UCAS application. The two applications have to be received by the College within 10 working days of each other in order to be processed. Please ensure you complete the Bird College application first. The UCAS deadline is 31st January 2025.

Audition Fee Payment
After submitting the application, you will receive guidance to make payment of the £45 audition fee. This is a non-refundable fee. Our online payment system accepts payment only in GBP. We do not accept AMEX. If you wish to make a payment to us in EUROS via a bank transfer you will need to contact: tanya.lorenzotti@birdcollege.co.uk
