Non Executive Director
On leaving school, in 1976, I joined Barclays Bank as a junior clerk. I enjoyed numerous promotions over the years with my last role, before retirement, as a Corporate Relationship Director. I specialized in the Charity and Education Sector. After 40 years I retired in the summer of 2016. I hold several Trustee/Director positions with educational establishments as well as with Bird College. My relationship with Bird College started while I was at Barclays where I was the Relationship Point for the College. I was delighted to be involved with the college securing the 1 site facility in Sidcup. I was appointed as a Magistrate in 1993 and work within the Adult & Family Courts. In 2005, I became a Freeman of the City of London. I am married with 3 children and have 6 grandchildren. Interests include: family, walking, football, motorcycling, travelling and gardening.
