Mel C is renowned for being one fifth of the chart-topping girl band, the Spice Girls. Having joined the group in 1994 and assuming her trademark title ‘Sporty Spice’, their iconic debut single ‘Wannanbe’ went on to top the charts in 37 countries. The debut album ‘Spice’ went on to sell more than 31 million copies worldwide, becoming the best-selling album of all time by a female group. The girls went on to sell more than 85 million records, releasing three albums, 13 singles and winning a host of awards including a BRIT for Outstanding Contribution to British Music.

As a solo artist, Mel has achieved more than 3 million album sales and currently holds the third position for the most United Kingdom number-ones by a female artist. In 2005, her track ‘First Day Of My Life’ became Number 1 in 5 countries and propelled her third album ‘Beautiful Intentions’ to double platinum status.

In 2012, Mel reunited with the Spice Girls for the London Olympic Closing Ceremony and most has most recently finished performing in their hit 2019 comeback tour ‘Spice World’.
