Conservatoire for dance and musical theatre
BA (Hons) Syllabus

The BA (Hons) in Professional Dance and Musical Theatre includes the option of an additional endorsement in either Dance or Musical Theatre. All students participate in the same lessons and receive the same high contact hours, but the additional endorsements allow students to focus on their strengths. The years are never mixed for any public performances, giving each year full exposure throughout training to peers and industry professionals.

 

Year 1
Year 1 is designed as a ‘starter pack’, where the fundamental elements and techniques of performance are introduced to explore and build upon strengths and address weaknesses, in order to tailor training to the individual.

Year 2
Year 2 is an extension and reinforcement of the skills introduced in Year 1 and focuses on students acquiring the advanced skills and techniques needed to for a successful professional career.
