How do I apply?
Please use the ‘Applications’ tab, and select ‘Applying to Bird’ to navigate to the online applications. 
For the BA (Hons) programme we require both direct application to the college and UCAS application..

How much is the audition fee?
The audition fee is £45.00.

What happens next?
After applying to the College you will receive full details about the audition day by email.

Can guardians stay during the audition?
There will be an introduction to the college by the Principal and Artistic Director and other members of the audition panel on the morning of the audition. Parents and guardians are welcome to stay for that section.

How does the audition result process work?
We will aim to get results out to applicants within 3 working weeks of the audition.

Can I have a second audition if I am unsuccessful?
Applicants are able to apply to audition only once per year.

What if I am ill on the day of audition?
If you are ill on the day of audition, please let the college know and we will do our best to allocate you an alternative audition date.

What are the entry requirements?

Where can I stay when I am visiting or auditioning at the college?

How can I travel around in the area?
By Bus:  Local buses travel to: Bexley, Bexleyheath, Bromley, Greenhithe, Welling, Dartford, Crayford, Orpington etc.

By Train: Sidcup station is a 5-10 minute walk from the college, with trains going into London every 15 minutes.  The journey will take about 30 minutes and the stations include: Charing Cross, London Bridge, Waterloo, Cannon Street and Lewisham (for DLR).

Trains travelling away from London will go to Dartford, Greenhithe (short shuttle bus to Bluewater).

Where do students live when studying at the college?
Students aged 16 years old at the commencement of their course who are not staying at home during term-time are required to reside with a college approved Host Family.

Students aged 17+ can arrange their own accommodation and may wish to share flats or houses.

Students aged 18+ will have access to all of the above, plus a limited number of rooms available at the University of Greenwich, Avery Hill Campus.  Students who have gained entry onto a Programme with Bird College will receive detailed information about the above in their enrolment pack.

Can students claim Housing Benefit?
Unfortunately, students at Bird College are not eligible to receive Housing Benefit.
